How To: Choose The Perfect Shades For Your Face

How to find the right shades for YOUR face...

It’s sunny season and if your anything like me I love to protect my eyes in style. Sunglasses are not only a necessity but also a fashion accessory. Many ladies don’t know what shades are best for their face. Let me help you a bit with some of the hottest shapes on some of our favorite celebs.

1st you need to figure out your face shape. Below are 4 common face shapes

To help you figure out your face shape pull your hair back and look in the mirror. You should see a clear indication of your face shape. If you’re still having a hard time use a handheld mirror and a lipstick. Make a dotted trace on the mirror around your face. You should be able to look at the outline on the mirror and figure out what shape your face is.

Now that you know what your face shape is let’s figure out what styles work best for you.

If you have a square shaped face you share a face shape with singer, actress, fashion designer Jessica Simpson. The shades that work best for you are cat eye, wayfarer, oversized and aviator. Shapes you should avoid are heavy brow frames, oval and boxy frames.

If you have a round face you share a face shape with American Idol princess Kelly Clarkson. The shades that look best on you are rectangle, square, wayfarer, cat eye, and aviator. You should avoid round and oversized shades.

If you have a heart shaped face you are in good company with Ms. Olivia Pope aka Kerry Washington. The shades that look best on you are rectangle, round, oval, aviator, square and wayfarer. Shapes you should avoid are top-heavy frames, embellished frames and wide top shades.

If you have an oval face you share a face shape with Queen Bee. The shades that look best on you are rectangle, round, square, cat eye and aviator. You should avoid oversized shades.

My Spring Faves

Spring is in the air and we are so excited to see the new spring trends.  Here are some of my favorite trends...
let me know your thoughts

BERMUDA SHORTS:
When I was in the 7th grade I made a pair of navy and white polka dot Bermuda shorts with a matching scrunchie in home economics class.  They were my favorite but just as soon as I got into them the trend was gone.  Now I'm kicking myself why didn't I save them lol (I'm positive they would not fit) Well the longer looser short is back in trend and ready for Spring.

 BLACK AND WHITE:
This trend is everywhere it's almost over saturated.  I see every other woman walking around in black and white.  I'm sure your thinking to yourself then why would it be one of your top picks? I choose this trend because you can still stand out while blending in.  What do I mean?  Well take the picture on the far right the model is in the black and white trend but she is also mixing patterns.
My advice: Take the trend and make it yours

EXOTIC PRINTS:
I love love love this trend it's about color, patterns and form.  Take your classic shapes...flirty skirt, sheath dresses, etc. and use patterns from across the globe.  Mix and match is a plus and most importantly have fun with it

PEEK-A-BOO:
Sexy, shear panels are huge this season.  Being sexy and daring but leaving a little to the imagination is key.  Lingerie for the streets is what I call it.
